Distinctions

Three members of Carshalton Camera Club have added some letters after their name.

Ann Rayers became an Artiste Federation Internationale De L'Art Photographique.

Balwant Thanki is now an Associate of The Royal Photographic Society.

Darren Pullman AFIAP gains a Credit Photographic Alliance of Great Britian.

Graham Sergeant FRPS will visit Carshalton Camera Club on 13th May 2019

Graham will present a selection of his audio visuals including the moving Beeswing, which tells the story of Lisa, a young woman from Brighton.  This AV won the RPS National AV award.  Graham has also won the prestigious gold medal Trophee de Paris, the Grand Prix from the Federation Photographique de France – equivalent to our PAGB.  Graham is the first Brit to ever win this award.

Graham’s professional background was making documentaries for the BBC, which together with his expertise as a stills photographer, having gained his FRPS, makes him ideally placed to make stunning  AVs that will stay in your memory for a long time.

Guests £5.00 on the door.
Entrance includes refreshments

Change of Venue
The Inter-club Finals, Open Competitions & Exhibition will now be held at:

The Mitre Theatre, Trinity School, Shirley Park, Croydon CR9 7AT.

Access to the school carpark is via the A232 dual carriageway at the Croydon end of Wickham Road or by way of an entrance off the A232 Addiscombe Road immediately after the entrance to Shirley Park Golf Club, depending on your direction of travel.

Starting: 2pm Finishes: 6pm approx.
Doors open at 1pm for entry to the Print Exhibition
Entry Price: £5 ( cash only ) at the door each (includes tea or coffee & biscuits).

My London

3rd December 2018

Paul Ryan from the charity CafeArt will talk about the calendar project My London which recognises and celebrates the talent of people affected by homelessness. Sponsored by amongst others Fuji and the RPS the calendar's success over the last few years has now spawned a My Brighton calendar.
The 2019 My London calendars will be for sale at the club this evening so bring some cash, start your Christmas shopping and help a deserving cause.
